Redwood Jam’s music is not available online. He occasionally showcases music live in three formats:
Private Listenings, Private Live Performances, and Public Pop-up shows
Private Listenings
Lots of records are available online, not Redwood Jam’s. Redwood Jam showcases his artistic music production recordings, privately.
This is some serious music.
Each listening includes well-produced, often heavily-engineered, music tracks with intense creativity and variety.
For example, 2x100 is a piece featuring 100 distinct sections of 2 instruments each. The style and feel changes with each section. Keep in mind, all of these sections are quite distinct. This means the listener is on a metaphorical journey, teleporting from world to world. It features a lot of unique music.
Another example is SSs, which again takes listeners on a unique teleportation journey, yet is not bound by 2 instruments per section. This creates lusher landscapes of sound.
Songs range from around 30 minutes to multiple hours long, with Nearly a Day of My Life, an improvised-edited keyboard production, coming in at over 15 hours long.
The unique and distinct flavor of these tracks ought to make them especially interesting for people looking to expand their music horizons and hear something “new” or “different.”
Don’t think these are some novice productions, they are the result of many years of music development.
Private Live Performances
Exclusive shows for just you. Redwood Jam tailors his performance to your liking. Two options are available: Keyboard Improvisations and Custom Shows.
Keyboard Improvisations are when Redwood Jam sits down at the keyboard and lets the spirit take over. No one knows what is going to come out, not even him. Redwood Jam attempts to reproduce the music that comes to him in the moment. There are no right or wrong notes, just music, flowing through a well-trained artist.
Custom shows allow you some input into the live performance. From cover songs to new creations, Redwood Jam can accomplish most music goals and is up for challenges. This is your opportunity to combine your own thoughts and desires with Redwood Jam’s creative artistry.
Public Pop-up Shows
In addition to creating thoughtfully produced mega-tracks, Redwood Jam improvises live on keyboard, often on whim, where-ever is the right place and whenever is the right time. He heads the inner voice’s calling to go play, and he does.
There may be no one around, or there may be many people. It might be on the side of the road, at a park, or in some remote location.
There is no pomp and circumstance, and hardly anyone would recognize what’s really happening - a musician is being led by some force, giving up himself and giving in to the music that flows through.
It is all unplanned and improvised. Each note comes in the moment. There are no mistakes. There are no supposed to’s. There is no plan. It is simply music flowing through.
Often, mood, environment, people, and animals have a large effect on the outcome of what’s played.
